ManTech is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting our Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group (MCCOG) customers to develop new capabilities, processes, and automation practices for the Enterprise and Operational Forces.

Specifically, the successful candidate will conduct detailed cybersecurity assessments of systems ranging in size from stand-alone systems to Systems spanning the Department of Defense Information Networks (DODIN) into the tactical arena. Uses automated tools as well as manual procedures to determine potential vulnerabilities to automated systems caused by technical, policy or procedural shortfalls. Analyzes requirements for assigned functional areas to plan for software and hardware deployment, operating systems and network, user enhancements, or other similar primary automation projects. Plans, implements, manage, monitor and upgrade security measures: This includes administering and installing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, intrusion prevention systems, SIEM solutions and related software systems. Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities: Performing penetration tests and vulnerability assessments from time to time is an essential part of cybersecurity engineering.

This role requires an active DoD SECRET clearance.

•    Uses the results of automated tools as well as manual procedures which flag potential vulnerabilities. Develops direction to automated systems to mitigate the flagged potential vulnerabilities primarily by developing code sets using Python and Ansible.
•    Conduct detailed assessments of security and user management systems, with the intent to reduce or eliminate steps and manual actions by the use of process optimization, and creating coding / scripting leveraging existing MCEN installed languages or software platforms.
•    Develop, document, and deploy in conjunction with government and contracted employees, developed automation "glueware" to address problems based on discovered inefficacies or security threats.
•    Analyzes requirements for assigned functional areas to plan for software and hardware deployment, operating systems and network, user enhancements, or other similar primary automation projects.
•    Prepare presentations, briefings, develop and implement cost-benefits analysis of proposed automation "glueware" efforts.

Required Qualifications:
•    Experience with building complex scripts with Python PowerShell and Ansible.
•    Experience with the integration with API sets with Python and script based tools.
•    At least 5 years of experience with tasks such as intrusion detection, incident response and computer forensics threats.
•    Experience with NextGen firewalls (Fortinet and Palo Alto), intrusion detection systems and intrusion prevention systems.
•    Must possess and maintain DoD 8570 IASAE II qualifying certification.
•    Comprehensive knowledge of automated systems theory, architecture, hardware, software, and their interrelationships, to define automated systems requirements in terms and criteria leading to development of systems with desire capabilities, and to conduct feasibility studies.
•    Ability to prepare presentations, briefings, develop and implement cost-benefits analysis.
•    Experience with Intrusion Detection System (IDS) cues and anti-virus alerts / Endpoint Security Tools and threat intelligence tools.

The candidate should have:
A strong independent work ethic.
At least 5 years of experience within Department of Defense IT environments.

DEGREE NOT REQUIRED, Demonstrated experience and related certifications are sufficient.
