ManTech is actively seeking talented professionals eager to secure the future supporting mission critical programs and solving some of the toughest problems critical to our great Nation's security. We need an experienced Technical Project Manager and cross-functional team member who will work diligently alongside our customer and Technical Professionals supporting a family of projects facilitated out of Lexington Park, MD. This position is not a remote position and will be in Southern Maryland.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Program Manager in establishing project objectives, procedures, schedules, data collection methods, and performance standards within boundaries of program policies.
  • Direct and supervise resources for the performance of project assignments and activities across a geographically dispersed team.
  • Analyze program requirements, status, budget, and schedules
  • Perform technical and business case analyses.
  • Collect, complete, organize and interpret technical data and financial information relating to aircraft acquisition and product programs
  • Track program/project status and schedules
  • Maintain schedules ensuring proper coordination within a resource loaded schedule
  • Provide recommendations for resolution of problems
  • Participate in special projects as required
  • Work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments

Basic Qualifications:

  • Required: BS or BA in a business management, engineering, mathematics, operations research, physics, computer science, or a related scientific discipline
  • At least four (4) years of experience in project management, technical, or business analysis discipline; and included in the four (4) years, there must be two (2) years professional experience in technical efforts supporting weapon systems development programs
  • Knowledge of SECNAV, OPNAV and OSD policy and documentation related to PPBS, life-cycle management of military acquisition programs
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience of working to deadlines and dealing with changing priorities
  • Experience interacting with a wide range of people in a customer facing environment
  • Must possess 3-5 years of experience in a project management related position.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Applications (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience developing project schedules in MS Project.
  • Demonstrated ability to brief senior level staff to ensure understanding of project goals, milestones, deliverables, and individual functional responsibilities.
  • Must be a self-starter who can take senior-leader guidance and intent and oversee the operations of independent and collaboratively assigned projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA level III in Program Management
  • Desired: MS or MA in a business management, engineering, mathematics, operations research, physics, computer science, or a related scientific discipline
  • Desired experience: Prior military experience as Naval Aviator (pilot), Naval Flight Officer (WSO, EWO), or service equivalent and A graduate of a warfare center of excellence (TOPGUN, MAWTS-1, FWS, EAWS, or CAEWWS).
