Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS) Engineer to join our team in the Herndon, VA area.

The candidate shall support the project by providing expertise and support towards the design, implementation, development, and maintenance of the Cross-Domain Solution (CDS) components. Candidate should be able to work with a team of highly skilled individuals to ensure the secure and efficient data transfer from high to low and low to high. This role requires that the individual can produce a hardened solution that best fits mission needs. The candidate will travel to customer sites if required; will work with people to provide exemplary customer service in high-pressure situations. Responsibilities include engineering support throughout the life-cycle of the Cross-Domain Solution with an emphasis on planning, building, testing, release, and deployment.

Specific responsibilities include, but not are limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the customer's requirements for the team product and a working knowledge of how the product functions in the larger ecosystem.

  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the technologies in use by the team product while exploring alternative implementations and solutions.

  • Create, implement, test, document, and support feature and product capabilities and data processing methods that ensure highest levels of information system security.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners/Scrum Masters, team leads, and team members to ensure product capabilities that meet or exceed customer requirements.

  • Perform maintenance on existing products.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor’s Degree and 7 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining cross-domain solutions for Customers
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Linux
  • Strong experience in C, C++, Python, or Java 
  • Proficient in Object-Oriented design
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP, UDP)
  • Experience in designing, developing, and documenting well defined RESTful APIs
  • Strong understanding of web protocols and standards like Http, WebSockets, JSON, REST, XML
  • Ability to identify technical problems, research and define solutions, and implement in a timely manner with minimal or no oversight
  • Experience resolving bugs and performance problems
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and debugging software
  • Experience with Systems Administration experience
  • Experience with Agile and SAFe methodologies
  • Experience with MQTT, AMQP and various IoT and IIoT protocols
  • Experience working on Cloud-Edge connectivity solutions and experience with AWS and Azure

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
