Summary: The Field Technician I is responsible for learning about the industry and obtaining knowledge
regarding the necessary requirements of the technician position. In order for advancement, the Field
Technician I should be learning and preparing to take one of the NSF or CETA exams. Requires at least 12 month apprenticeship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
â?¢ Assists in providing routine service and certifications for cleanrooms, biological safety cabinets,
and exhaust devices to ensure a sterile environment is maintained
â?¢ Performs decontaminations and filter changes with guidance
â?¢ Troubleshoots equipment to determine the cause of inefficiencies and strategy for repair
â?¢ Repairs and installs equipment to ensure compliance
â?¢ Learns how to certify and service all equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications
and NSF guidelines
â?¢ Updates all necessary client information, certifications, and service calls to ensure accurate records
are maintained
â?¢ Performs shipping logistics for customers
â?¢ Maintains documentation of services performed and equipment serviced
â?¢ Confers with clients in order to provide information on services offered
â?¢ Maintains responsibility for the cleanliness, repairs and maintenance of vehicle and equipment
used
â?¢ Performs all other duties as assigned

â?¢ Education and/or Experience â?? High School diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence
Certificate) preferred. A basic knowledge of Algebra and Geometry desired.
â?¢ Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to respond to common
inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business
community. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication,
with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
â?¢ Computer Skills- General computer knowledge including but not limited to: Adobe, Excel, Word,
Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Outlook. Website training a plus.

Regularly requires sitting, walking, bending, crouching, climbing, crawling, pulling, pushing, and lifting for
prolonged periods of time.

The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of hands, feet, and fingers to
handle or feel objects and must be capable of bending, reaching, and crouching, pulling and pushing. Must be
able to use tools and equipment and must be capable of bending, reaching, crouching, climbing and crawling,
pushing and pulling.

Must have command of all five senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Specific vision abilities required
include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Must hear and speak well enough to
conduct business over the telephone or face to face for long periods of time.

The employee may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures. Employee may also be exposed to
heights.

Good flexibility, coordination, and balance.

Able to wear a Respirator while working. Must use PPE equipment at all sites that require it. Must have PPE
prepared in advance to service every customer if required.

Must be able to lift 100 pounds.

Other Qualifications: Valid Driver's License is required. Must be able to travel 100% of the time. Must be able
to work weekends and nights if required to meet the needs of our clients.

Electrical or Maintenance experience is a plus!
