Title:

IT Manager

Role Context:

KBR has been awarded a support contract by the UK Ministry of Defence (UK MOD). Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide communications network operations, maintenance, and training services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is a significant project that expands our portfolio of work with the UK MOD and in the Middle East.

Under the contract, KBR is seeking to recruit staff to deliver:

· Support in delivering IP Telephony, host applications such as Network Management System, Cable Management Systems and incident management software.

· Operation of Service Desks.

· Support to maintain operational capability of Fixed & Deployable equipment/capabilities.

· Design & deliver a new Management Information System

· Technical & English Language Training.

· Built Estate maintenance and upkeep.

Role Description:

The IT Manger is responsible the setup and support of the underpinning business support network, infrastructure and end user devices for supporting the KBR-SL IT infrastructure, systems, assets, and services, providing solution to problems and recommending enhancements to existing systems and processes.

They will have several team members reporting to them comprised of both senior engineers and junior network technicians.

3. Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science or higher.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ of diversified experience in support of corporate IT infrastructure and end user devices, systems and services.
  • Certification in network admin (CCNA/CCNP), Windows Server, AD, Azure admin (MCSA/MCSD), and Azure ADFS is required.
  • Have, or be able to obtain, necessary security clearance, if required.
  • Local Saudi Arabia residency is a MUST.
  • Saudi nationals are strongly preferred; Expats must have a transferrable Iqama;
  • Strong English skills, Arabic is a Plus.

Experience and Skills:

Essential:

  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Expert level in implementation, troubleshooting, and repair for: Cicso/Juniper Firewalls, Cisco VPN, Red Hat Ent Linux, Microsoft AD & Azure ADFS, FTPS, HTTPS, TCP/IP protocols, Web Servers, IIS, SolarWinds, SPLUNK, and Cyber Security.
  • Experience of supporting network environments with 50 – 900 users.
  • Experience in managing subcontractors to deliver services.
  • Results focused and able to provide solutions without direction.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service with strong customer focus.
  • Strong team management skills, capable of gaining trust and support of team and customer.

Desirable:

  • Experience in setup and infrastructure
  • Worked on BMC Remedy Service Desk as an agent.
  • ITIL processes knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry
  • Experienced in working with multi-national teams.
  • Knowledge of the Facilities Management, IT or Delivery Partner industries.

4. Core Responsibilities and Duties

General:

  • Ensure KBR-SL OM&T project is operational regarding all IT infrastructure, end user devices, systems and tools access and IT operations.
  • Monitor infrastructure LAN/WAN, servers, virtual infrastructure, Level 1, 2, 3 support of KBR-SL users using Remedy Service Desk.
  • Provide, set up and support all end user devices
  • Support application, systems and tool development, set up and operation as necassary
  • Maintenance of KBR-SL IT users, assets and records.
  • Proivde point of Integration with KBR
  • Troubleshoot & Fix user desktop issues like network, internet, hardware, software, MS Office, 2 factor/Multi factor authentication, etc.
  • Troubleshoot & Fix printers, switches, routers, cables, WIFI APs, or any other network resource.
  • Infrastructure monitoring, detection, troubleshooting, configuration, and repair.
  • Other duties and tasks maybe assigned by line manager.
