KBRis seeking an Sr. RF Radar Systems Engineer to join our team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The candidate will support funded radar system programs.

Job Duties:

  • Architect radio frequency systems and circuits for high frequency and microwave radar applications
  • Design and Develop RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission lines, waveform generation and digitizers
  • Develop and allocate RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements
  • Model RF system performance using MATLAB and Excel, and other performance analysis tools
  • Prepare test methods and specifications to analyze and test RFhardware and firmware/software
  • Work with a flexible schedule and be willing to travel occasionally to complete program objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD degree in electrical engineering or physics with at least 5 years of experience in wideband RF design, preferably related to radar systems
  • Programming experience in MATLAB. Familiarity with Ansoft HFSS or similar analysis tools is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of RF test methods and equipment
  • Experience with basic hardware fabrication techniques
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Security Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a TS security clearance.
