Cybersecurity Technical Reviewer/Estimator

KBR is looking for qualified candidates to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Cybersecurity Division's (CSD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) as part of the Naval Warfare Center-Atlantic (NIWC-A) Assessment & Authorization (A&A) Cost Estimate Team. The technical reviewer is ultimately responsible for defining the scope and level of effort for DHA and NIWC-A supported Cybersecurity validation efforts.

Position is not limited to the North Charleston, SC location. Full-time remote work is available to non-local applicants outside of South Carolina.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Technical reviews of Information Technology (IT) system artifacts to determine resource allocations during the prerequisite steps of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
  • Communicate with system owners to help define authorization boundaries regularly.
  • Associate and assign applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs) to hosts.
  • Schedule, and attend meetings.
  • Review Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Update reporting platforms daily.

Secondary responsibilities

  • Documenting and publishing meeting minutes.
  • Provide system owners guidance on the DHA RMF process and its deliverables, and reporting requirements
  • Provide tier one technical support for DHA-approved Information Assurance tools and scripts.
  • Enforce DHA CSD policies.

The candidate must have a general understanding and assess complex and simple IT technologies, have a broad knowledge of DHA's RMF process. Additionally, the candidate must incorporate critical thinking strategies to identify potential risks to assess complex computer systems and create relevant project-related estimates through established procedures.   • Information Technology related BS Degree with at least six (6) years of experience with Information Technology/Information Assurance and instructing courses or twelve (12) years of hands-on experience with technology/Information Assurance information systems.
  • Must possess CompTIA Security+ Must possesses an OS Certification/Approved training or Network+ Experience with DIACAP and RMF in DHA
  • Working knowledge of DoD Cyber Exchange
  • Must possess an active Secret clearance

Additional Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with Accreditation package management in eMASS a plus
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Understand basic functions of SharePoint
  • Ability to control and facilitate meetings
  • Ability to analyze networking diagrams
  • Understand R & D concepts

The candidate should be familiar with:

  • Risk Management Framework
  • NIST 800 series policies & Guidance
  • NIST Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)
  • Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI)
  • Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Aware of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP)
  • Working knowledge of DoD Cyber Exchange
  • Willing to learn Toolsets and Technologies

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40 hrs

Basic Compensation:

Pay range: $76,400 - $114,600

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
