Remote Sensing Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Contract Program/Business Manager

ManTech is hiring a Deputy Program Manager to work at Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB), El Segundo, California in support of a large Remote Sensing Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Program. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overall management of the program including specific task order(s)
  • Oversee the execution of all contractual and technical aspects of the program
  • Ensure that the technical/financial solutions and schedules in the specific delivery orders are implemented according to program schedules
  • Serve as liaison between the Program Management Office (PMO), Government customers and ManTech leadership
  • Organize, direct and coordinate the planning and execution of all activities associated with assigned delivery order projects
  • Oversee staffing management, including recruiting, hiring, training, retention, assignments, teleworking arrangements, and ensuring labor qualification requirements are met
  • Oversee technical contract management, including serving as technical lead for sole source Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), surge options, etc.
  • Oversee subcontracts management, including teaming strategies and financial and technical subcontract execution
  • Serve as LAAFB ManTech facility site lead, overseeing facility development, maintenance, security, and usage
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, leadership, strong work ethic, teamwork, and competent writing and oral communication skills; and
  • Ensure quality products and services are delivered

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, science, or logistics
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Strong management skills: including at least seven (7) years’ experience managing teams/programs leading primary business efforts for space or ground systems software or hardware programs, and at least three (3) years’ experience supporting overall engineering integration for complex DoD, other Government Agency or commercial programs or projects
  • Understanding of the Remote Sensing acquisition, sustainment, and integration requirements
  • DoD Acquisition experience relating to DoD and major systems or programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI
  • Master's degree
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience relating to DoD and major systems or programs
  • Engineering experience with ACAT I, II or III programs
  • Experience with Acquisition Management with ACAT I, II and III programs

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Top-Secret security clearance 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
