ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented Cyber Engineer Expert in the Reston, VA or NCR region area to provide unparalleled support to our customer.  The Cyber Engineer Expert will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and/or integration of a DoD Information Assurance (IA) architecture, system, or system components.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the principle technical advisor and subject matter expert for malware reverse-engineering services.
  • Expertise in enterprise malware analysis.
  • Knowledge of the utilization, configuration, and implementation of industry-standard malware analysis including but not limited to static and dynamic tools and techniques, complex analysis of forensic, event and signature data as well as binary, mobile, and executable code leading to the detection of a variety of threat types including malware and potentially advanced persistent threats.
  • Expertise in capturing and performing initial analysis on captured volatile data, log data, captured network traffic data,
  • Document analysis techniques.
  • Create code in C, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Understanding of functional exploits, the creation of custom shellcode, code to bypass typical security measures, and ring 0 programming.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least nine (9) years’ experience in knowledge management, or similar field.
  • IAT Level II Certification consisting of one of the following:  CCNA Security;  CySA+ (previously listed as CSA+); GICSP; GSEC; CND; SSCP
  • Coding in C, Python, or JavaScript
  • Expertise in enterprise malware analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Splunk training and/or certifications
  • Experience performing as an 8570.01-M, Computer Network Defense Incident Responder (CND-IR).  
  • IAT Level III Certification consisting of one of the following: CASP+ CE; CCNP Security; CISA; CISSP [or Associate]; GCED; GCIH, CCSP
     

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph or ability to obtain a Polygraph before starting employment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
