The KBR-Centauri Proposal Specialist will assist the Proposal Manager in preparation of all Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for information (RFI), and other related customer response deliverables to Federal government agencies and/or partners. When preparing proposals, the Proposal Specialist will be responsible for analyzing the RFP/RFQ requirements, developing a compliance matrix, and initiating a proposal preparation/review schedule. The Proposal Specialist will assist the Proposal Manager and Business Development Team by providing assistance with the "win" strategy, but will be primarily focused on the proposal format, requirements compliance, and adherence to the approved proposal preparation/review schedule. The Proposal Specialist will assist the Proposal Manager and Business Development Team to develop cohesive proposal themes and potential discriminators; coordinate the day-to-day proposal preparation process and provide timely responses to requests for supporting material. The Proposal Specialist will also be responsible for updating boilerplate material about products and services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the structuring of the standard proposal center operations, including file sharing, templates, model content, and subcontractor integration.
  • Supports the assigned Capture and/or Proposal Manager on larger proposals in developing and maintaining the proposal plan, schedule, outline, and action item lists, and their associated deadlines; provide team communication and tracking support; coordinate and track the progress of documents and other materials through the proposal process.
  • May lead and direct the work of others on the proposal team and other contributing teams as necessary.
  • Writes, edits, and proofreads new content.
  • May perform as Proposal Lead on smaller proposal efforts.
  • Will synthesize, interpret, and translate the requirements and proposal submission instructions from RFPs.
  • Will use compliance matrix to create compliant templates with specific instructions to assist technical authors.
  • May coordinate and control access to proposal secured sites/facilities, and sensitive or proprietary materials.
  • May coordinate and document results of meetings.
  • Prints and copies documents for meetings, proposal reviews, or delivery to customer.
  • May create simple graphics and information tables for proposals.
  • May perform internal research and document capability or past performance.
  • May assist in organizing corporate capabilities or other proposal content.
  • Under direction, may coordinate inputs from subcontractors.
  • Will perform desktop publishing and coordinate the final proposal submission.
  • May support research and/or publishing of data calls, sources sought/RFIs, and market research.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-8 years of experience performing in the role of a Proposal Coordinator for one or more Federal Contractors
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Willingness to flex work schedule (when coordinated in advance) to meet proposal objectives
  • Highly experienced with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and Adobe products; working knowledge of Illustrator

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Has worked in the intelligence, cyber, information technology and/or space environments
  • Demonstrated ability to write with clarity and articulate value and advantages.
  • Microsoft TEAMS or SharePoint administration
  • Prefers to work in team environment
  • Graphics development experience is a plus
