KBR is seeking a Lead Pricing Analyst to support our Science & Space Pricing department.

The Lead Pricing Analyst will prepare multiple concurrent, competitive, complex bids to the Federal Government. In this position you will evaluate solicitations for proposals as well as pertinent sections of the FAR, DFARS, CFR, and other applicable Government laws and regulations. The Lead Pricing Analyst manages all cost volume activities and prepares fully responsive, highly competitive pricing models for the bids to which they are assigned. This person will use Government-provided cost templates and build complex cost models from scratch. The Lead Pricing Analyst will support proposed pricing with compliant bases of estimates for competitive salaries, levels of effort, and other cost inputs. This person will support all phases of the cost proposal process from proposal development through negotiations. Work closely with the Business Development organization to estimate target subcontractor bid rates and collect sub responses through pricing data calls. When appropriate request cost inputs from subcontractors by sending templates or draft proposals. Respond to prime data calls when KBR is bidding as a subcontractor as directed by the Pricing Manager. This position interfaces with senior executives, operation leads, capture managers, business developers, and bidding partners. Will present pricing progress in management reviews. Will meet with DCAA and other government auditors as required. This position supports contract administrators in preparing other proposal volumes by contributing narrative explanations of pricing methodologies used in proposals.

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead and manage pricing proposals for prospective contracts from kickoff to final review and submission.
• Provide strategic bid and fee guidance to our internal proposal teams and senior leadership.
• Assist in gate reviews, black hats, Bid/no-Bid decisions, and Price-to-Win assessments
• Create pricing models and business cases considering such things as revenue, margin, and cash flow
• Assist with win-loss analyses and help create internal benchmarks, metrics, and pricing analytics
• Monitor trends and best practices in pricing and proposal preparation. Recommend pricing improvements.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from senior executives
• Mentor and improve the pricing acumen for other pricing analysts, as well as other functions within the company.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a business or finance focus
• 7 – 10 years of relevant pricing experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency used to develop complex cost models and narratives
• Familiarity with Government Request for Proposals (RFP) and ability to read and interpret pricing requirements included within
• Ability to independently create pricing proposals compliant with RFP and estimating system requirements
• Ability to collaborate with proposal team members and subject matter experts who provide pricing inputs to communicate requirements and responsibilities
• Ability to communicate proposed price assumptions and structure, including revenue and margin, in reviews with executive management
• Possesses understanding of common basis for Federal pricing evaluations: LPTA, Best Value, Best Value Trade Off, etc.
• General awareness of CAS & FAR regulations
• Experience with capture support and price-to-win

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience pricing US Government and/or NASA proposals
• Knowledge of resources (e.g., GovWin, FPDS, and salary survey databases) used identify opportunities and research current contracts/incumbents to assist in qualifying bid opportunities.
• Understanding elements of pricing and their strategic use to optimize proposal price
