PPP is set to revolutionise project delivery at Sellafield and create a lasting legacy, through long-term partnerships.

The Sellafield nuclear site is home to one of the most complex portfolios of construction and infrastructure projects in the world, stretching over many decades.

The new approach will support the transformation from nuclear operator into a world leader in environmental remediation.

The partnership is made up of four lots and Sellafield Ltd, as 5th Partner, to help deliver the site's decommissioning programme:

  • Kellogg Brown and Root Ltd (KBR) - integration partner
  • Jacobs - design and engineering partner
  • Morgan Sindall Infrastructure - civils construction management partner
  • Doosan Babcock Ltd - process construction management partner

Sellafield Ltd will work collaboratively with the four lot partners, to deliver major projects in support of the site’s 100-year decommissioning programme.

The new approach is set up to support faster, more effective project delivery, stability in design and construction supply chains, greater workforce flexibility, and local economic benefit.

We have one site in Whitehaven that is on the beautiful Cumbrian coast with easy access to the fells and Lake District. Our other base is Warrington, vibrant and ideally located between Liverpool and Manchester.

The role holder will provide administration support to the RAP project teams.

Role holder Requirements:

The role holder shall;

  • Be self-motivated.
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate at all levels across multiple organisations.
  • Show resilience, work independently, along with good planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to problem solve, and complete tasks in a with accuracy and in a timely manner.
  • Support Managers and Colleagues with a variety of tasks.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with others from SL, its supply chain and the 4 Lot Partner organisations.
  • Work to create and maintain a collaborate environment within the project.
  • IT capable.

Job Description

The role holder will be required to support the RAP project teams by:

  • Organising and arranging project meetings, workshops, events, travel etc.
  • Establishing and maintaining the project meeting calendar.
  • Onboarding of project team resources.
  • Maintaining the project organisational arrangements.
  • Interfacing with IT departments to support the effective deployment of equipment.
  • Maintaining the project asset register for all equipment (IT etc.).
  • Developing and maintaining the project office desk allocation.
  • Preparing and reporting management information.
  • Greet and assist/ support visitors.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of working within a project delivery environment.
  • Experience of office systems.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent collaborative behavioural skills.
  • Good IT skills, particularly of those within the Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams etc.
  • The ability to assemble and/or prepare high quality key management documents.
  • Able to work and deliver to challenging timescales.
  • Diary Management for multiple managers.

Desirable Skills

  • First Aider and/or Fire Warden.

Education

General standard of secondary education GCSE level including Maths and English Language.
