The Digital Engineering/Digital Transformation Solutions Architect serves as the technical lead in the development of solutions to unusually complex challenges that require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation, and supports collaboration across multiple SAIC business units to craft unique solutions to these customer challenges. The Solutions Architect will be expected to participate in customer meetings and brief SAIC's capabilities, as well as lead the technical solutioning process in support of Business Development, Capture and Proposal teams.  Leveraging their domain expertise, the Solutions Architect will be expected to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and lead the development of complete technical solutions including the development of Work Breakdown Structures and Bases of Estimate.  This role will be responsible for identifying and integrating technical capabilities and innovations to address customer needs, hot buttons, challenges, and requirements to help competitively position SAIC.  The Solutions Architect will be expected to identify the type and level of technical resources required; coordinate with team members providing technical leadership on solution development; and, lead as well as contribute to proposals as an author and reviewer. 



  • Demonstrated expertise providing innovative solutions in Systems Engineering, Command and Control (C2)/Situational Awareness, Sensor, and Platform Integration, and/or Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Demonstrated expertise and leadership in Digital Engineering (DE)/Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with experience developing DE solutions to support customers and proposals
  • Demonstrated expertise providing innovative digital solutions in the following areas (at least two):  Cloud Migration, Enterprise IT, End User Support, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Application Modernization, IT Managed Services
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience supporting Navy C4I Engineering with the following desired experience:
    • Engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoD or Government Agency
    • Implementing software and scripting languages into complex service oriented and virtualized baselines
    • Web development in designing OGC Web Feature data models
    • Enterprise standards and protocols
    • Big data engineering and analytics
    • Complex track and platform data modeling and aggregation algorithms
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Lead System Engineer (or Deputy Lead System Engineer) role in support of a PEO C4I program office (PMW) or similar DoD organization, working on ACAT programs
  • Experience in technical leadership within a team of both government and industry in the planning, investigation, design, and implementation of physical and logical C4ISR solutions
  • Extensive proposal experience leading technical solution development on $25M - $100M opportunities
  • Understanding of technology methodologies, best practices, delivery models or frameworks relevant to individual’s domain area expertise


  • Required: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or Physical Science required and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience
  • Desired: Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Science or similar fields and sixteen (16) years or more experience


  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
