Amentum is looking for a Mid-Level RF Engineer looking for a challenge to propel them into the next phase of their career. This position is located in the Hanover, MD office.

We are seeking a Mid-Level RF Engineer with experience in applying Radio Frequency (RF) engineering principals to support analysis and certification for the cutting edge of Department of Navy RF equipment. The role requires a driven engineer to evaluate the impacts to and from new and updating radio frequency dependent systems. Our team works to ensure that Navy equipment is being acquired, built, and fielded with the operational effectiveness of the equipment in mind in the highly congested electromagnetic environment.

The position requires a solid understanding of RF engineering because the work covers a wide variety of spectrum dependent systems including radars, communications, data links, SATCOM, sensors, and electronic warfare equipment. You will review RF technical information for a wide-range of system types to analyze/evaluate system performance against both Department of Defense (DoD) and National standards. Responsibilities will include technical review of emerging spectrum technologies, coordination and deconfliction of Navy operations in dense electromagnetic environments, development and review of policies and procedures, and finally coordination both nationally and internationally.

Minimum Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
    At least 5 years' experience with applying the principles of the performance of the Radio Frequency Engineering analysis
    Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen
    Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

    Knowledge of the either the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) or the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) system certification process
    Knowledge of any of the following software: Spectrum Certification System (SCS), Equipment Location Certification Information database (EL-CID), Spectrum XXI, Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online (HNSWDO), or Stepstone
    Experience with Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) equipment or standards
    World Radio Conference Support
    Development of Spectrum related standards and policies
    Active Secret security clearance
