Amentum is seeking a detail-oriented Senior RF Engineer in Hanover, MD with strong communication skills to support the global mission requirements of the United States Navy and particularly their use of operationally critical radio frequency dependent data links.

You will work to understand the technical interactions of RF systems operating in the same bands, identify risks, mitigations, and be able to clearly articulate their findings and suggestions to customers within the US Navy.

You'll support analysis of legacy and emerging spectrum dependent technologies and their interactions. You may be asked to use project management tools to prioritize and track efforts. Responsibilities will include technical review of emerging spectrum technologies, coordination and deconfliction of Navy operations in dense electromagnetic environments, development and review of policies and procedures, and finally coordination both nationally and internationally. Project management responsibilities will include customer interface, project tracking, and quality control.

Minimum Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
    At least 10 years' experience with applying the principles of the performance of Radio Frequency Engineering analysis
    Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen
    Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

    Knowledge of either the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) or the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) system certification process
    Knowledge of any of the following softwares: Spectrum Certification System (SCS), Equipment Location Certification Information database (EL-CID), Spectrum XXI, Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online (HNSWDO), or Stepstone
    Experience with Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) equipment or standards
    World Radio Conference Support
    Development of Spectrum related standards and policies
    Program Management experience
    Active Secret security clearance
