Position Description/Job Responsibilities

KBR’s global business comprises two main segments – Government Solutions (GS) and Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS). This role sits within STS in the Advisory Consulting business unit. Advisory Consulting is a leading provider of professional advisory and consulting solutions for customers in the government, natural resources and industrial markets. In this role you will be the Hydrogen and Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage SME for the Europe region. The position would be based in UK, but other locations within EMEA will be considered. Under broad direction this position would require coordination of resources and expertise with other KBR offices and business units worldwide.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Core Functions:

  • Act primarily as a Subject Matter Expert of Hydrogen (H2) Technical / Technologies. You will be a technical leader for the subject area covering at time Project Delivery roles at the same time supporting business growth opportunities with external engagements. Added skills to support CCUS will be preferred
  • Work with ET (Energy Transition) leaders and other business line leaders within the Advisory Consulting team to:
  • develop Advisory Consulting solution/strategy roadmaps for H2 and CCUS (Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage) deployment while maintaining OneKBR ethos
  • further develop our H2 and CCS / CCUS service capability and offering
  • develop strategic thought leadership articles, white papers for H2 to support Advisory brand positioning in this market
  • assist in development and management of H2, CCS and related ET customer relationship
  • Work with the Operations Director to:
  • provide execution oversight of Advisory Consulting H2 and CCS projects to ensure delivery to the Customers upholding Advisory Quality and brand requirements
  • further develop Advisory solutions capability for H2, CCS and associated facilities (training and development of others, developing standard technical delivery frameworks, execution efficiency, support growth and development of HVEC execution capability, etc.)
  • maintain 50% chargeability while ensuring active involvement and inputs for pursuits, proposals, and project delivery cycles
  • Work as a project manager for the delivery of Advisory Consulting projects, including H2, CCS and related ET projects
  • Provide H2 and CCS business development, proposal, and project delivery support to the wider STS organisation for non-Advisory Consulting activities
  • Provide inputs and support for strategic market communications and actively engage in creating thought leadership
  • Support strategic capability development initiatives for the ET subject matter

Communications:

  • Report to the Regional Director in EMEA
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Advisory Consulting business leaders, global ET leads and SMEs
  • Coordinate with Advisory Consulting operations resources for project execution within the region

Requirements/Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Masters Degree or equivalent is desirable
  • Significant Energy industry experience, with knowledge and focus on Hydrogen
  • Experience with renowned advisory consulting firms with demonstrated capability to grow an advisory business will be an advantage
  • Experience in working at executive / C suite / C-1 where negotiating G2G / G2B business opportunities
  • Experience developing and implementing energy transition strategy
  • Strong understanding of ET technical concepts and commercial feasibility
  • Familiarity with local and GCC green energy enabling policies, credits and incentives
