Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is currently seeking on-site and virtual Air Traffic Controller Instructors for Specialized Courses. These positions are in support of the FAA Controller Training Solutions (CTS). These Instructors will primarily assist in the conduct and administration of the listed courses below, as an Instructor III at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, OK, and/or virtual (remote) instruction. They may also participate in the conduct or administration of other courses and/or in ISD projects, to include the development, revision, and maintenance of ATC Training Courses.

The successful candidate must possess excellent teaching and communication skills, as well as classroom management techniques, a mission-focused drive for continuous improvement, and strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems and procedures. In addition, this position may provide opportunities for mentoring other instructors, as well as input to curriculum design and development.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Candidates for these instructor positions must have a minimum of 3 years of CPC ATCS experience in a civilian ATCT, TRACON, or ARTCC, or other equivalent civilian facility. In addition, candidates for these positions must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a staff specialist in an FAA air traffic facility, regional office, or headquarters, specializing in the area of the particular course curriculum for which they have applied. Candidates for these positions must 
have held a qualifying position as a staff specialist and should have held a position of CPC ATCS or first-level supervisory ATCS within the 10 years prior to proposed appointment under this contract.

US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.



Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification required.

Target salary range: $55,001 - $65,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
