The Director for Workforce Planning is responsible to develop, manage and coordinate demand plan based on business trends, demand patterns and activities to effectively improve labor efficiency for W2, Temporary, Subs and Manpower personnel.
Develop demand plan based on business trends and demand patterns.
Coordinates activities to effectively improve labor efficiency (W2, Temp, Subs and Manpower).
Maintain key components of labor requirements targeting for each item, including safety and lead times.
Provide strategic direction and long range demand planning, forecasting and labor management, both internal and external.
Analytically set labor demand targets for supply based upon defined service levels.
Develop and implement advance planning strategies and respective controls.
Determine root causes of performance variances and lead resolution process.
Enforce and measure timeliness of labor inventory depletion to work load.
Strategically partners with cross-functional leaders on key sourcing for projects and initiatives.
Proactively troubleshoot cost, quality and delivery concerns.
Produce regular reports on commitments, costs and delivery performance.
Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases.
Serve as key point of contact between demand and labor planning functions.
Support forecasting for projects, incidents and service request initiatives.
Develop and implement demand planning, collaborating with sales forecasting processes, data collection and reporting, tracking and reporting of KPI's.
Monitor supplier and vendor compliance in accordance with contractual agreements to also include cost, quality and delivery performance.
Contribute to future development of Delivery and Sales Operations Planning process.
Manage demand planning files to ensure accuracy; activity monitor and adjust Model % allocation as needed based on current trend analysis.
Drive monthly demand review meetings with recommended changes to forecast.
Using demand planning methodology and trend/variance root cause analysis- make demand planning corrective actions and improvements.
Manage well under pressure. Able to lead teams during periods of significant organizational and business change.
Other requirements and attributes include strong project management skills, data driven, result's oriented, accountable for results.
Energetic. Demonstrated sense of urgency. Committed to continuous improvement.
Intermediate understanding of demand and labor management, market trends, inventory management and business strategy preferred.
2-5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
7-10+ years relevant experience required.
