Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team in Fort Meade, Maryland.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs onboarding of new users to program
  • Develops onboarding materials while communicating with the end-user
  • Manages Q&A with internal/external government customers for program migrations
  • Consults with Engineers to explain software errors or to recommend changes to programs.
  • Troubleshoots complex issues and provides incidents resolutions for all related incidents requiring escalated support or subject matter expertise.
  • Interviews end-user to collect information about problem and leads user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error.
  • Logs and tracks data using problem management database (Remedy Action Request System) and maintains history records and related problem documentation.
  • Advises the Government on areas that could negatively impact the user onboarding timeline.
  • Works closely with the Government to ensure the onboarding timelines align with resources available to the project and any known external constraints
  • Utilize Windows Active Directory to maintain Mission Partners user accounts.
  • Monitor File Transfer Capability site for all program software uploads.
  • Creates file/share for software uploaded by Mission Partners.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to administer server-based systems, network devices, virtual machines, and cloud-based services. Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) networks such as NIPRNet and SIPRNet, their underlying systems, and related DoD cybersecurity requirements highly desired. Working knowledge of database systems, WordPress, and multiple operating systems a plus. Be familiar with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and DoD vulnerability management processes.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level-2 or higher certification is required
  • One of the following certifications are required: CCNA Security, CySA+ (formerly CSA+), GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CISSP, Microsoft server certifications, AWS certifications
  • VMware Certified Technical Associate
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Department of Defense Secret

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
  • ?Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
