Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator

KBR is currently seeking an experienced Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator for the Joint Technical Integration (JTDI) Program to provide customer technical support for the JTDI Delivery Management Service (JDMS) deployed applications and the JTDI Top Tier enterprise systems. The Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect must be customer focused in support of our warfighter mission and have a broad technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016 Operating System (OS), IIS, Java and .NET based applications, local area networks (LANS), and Wide Area Networks (WANs) with knowledge of TCP/IP infrastructure. The NAVSEA Sustainment Engineer III will be part of a team responsible for the integration, configuration, test, deployment, and sustainment of JDMS deployed systems and infrastructure components

The Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator will provide sustainment support for JTDI deployed systems and the JTDI enterprise systems to include solutions design, integration, sustainment, configuration management, and documentation updates on existing systems.

Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide daily status situational report (SITREP) to deployed application contractor and IPT lead
  • Work with Project lead on technical management required for deployment and integration activities
  • Provide continual service improvement feedback on sustainment support activities and make recommendations to improve JTDI sustainment support to the war fighter
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to assist team members with problems reported by JDMS deployments
  • Leverage Service Desk ticketing system track and document completed tasks
  • Support IA team Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) requests and response
  • Work with fleet POCs to coordinate and conduct maintenance activities that impact system availability
  • Provide proactive incident response to break-fix activities impacting system readiness

Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, Technology, degree and 10+ years relevant experience or 2+ years in lieu of a degree
  • Hypervisor technologies to include VMware vSphere ESXi and Microsoft Server 2016 Hyper-V
  • AWS and Azure cloud services
  • Specific experience with Microsoft Operating Systems 2016 to 2019
  • Specific experience with IIS and Apache Web Services
  • Experience with a variety of LAN switching and TCP/IP networking technologies
  • Current Security + certification
  • Current Operating System (OS) or Cloud certification
  • Able to obtain Secret clearance with SSBI or Top-Secret Clearance (preferred)
