Senior Tax Accountant
KBR is seeking a Sr. Tax Accountant to initiate and prepare and review federal, state, and local tax reports, returns, and other information connected to taxes. The Sr. Tax Accountant will assist with federal, state, and local tax audits gathering all pertinent information and performing any analysis to satisfy audit requests. The role will also involve the analysis and reconciliation of deferred balances, researching specific matters relating to tax accounting and compliance. The role will also aid other functional areas of the tax department as needed including assistance with quarterly provisions, international tax compliance as it relates to the federal consolidated return, special projects, and assistance with financial accounts for income taxes. Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes. May provide guidance to less experienced team members.
