Administrative Assistant

KBR is seeking an Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative duties providing mission support in one or more functions or business areas within the agency Directorates/Offices. The nature of Administrative Assistant work encompasses various transactional activities and requires general knowledge of moderately complex tasks.

This position is on Tinker AFB and will require interfacing with government personnel.

Active secret security clearance is required.


Candidate at this level shall be able to perform all the tasks and demonstrate the desired skill set of an Intermediate Level Administrative Assistant. Intermediate Level Administrative Assistant tasks and desired skill sets shall include the following:

  • Compose written communication in response to complex customer queries.
  • Coordinate scheduling, organizing, and execution of meetings, events, conferences, and off-sites.
  • Attend meetings, events, and forums.
  • Assist in maintaining inventories, records, and receipts.
  • Support coordination actions, assign actions to the appropriate divisions or branches, follow up on actions, coordinates response in a non-conflicted manner for senior management review, and provides status reports.
  • Maintain a schedule of appointments for a manager or office.
  • Answer routine telephone calls, direct calls and takes messages.
  • Greet and escort visitors.
  • Retrieve, sort, and distribute incoming mail, faxes, and other publications/documents.
  • Arrange for the delivery of outgoing mail/packages with the mailroom.
  • Prepare travel/training arrangements and process travel/training accounting/vouchers for the program office.
  • Draft, proofread, edit, and coordinate correspondence.
  • Perform research and retrieve information from databases and other resources.
  • Maintain tracking records and filing systems, archive files.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, organizing, and execution of meetings, events, conferences, and off-sites.
  • Participate in meetings and events: may serve as recorder and may present position-related information.
  • Assist in order supplies/equipment and arranging for office equipment repairs.
  • Recommends innovative processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the office.


Active secret security clearance is required.

High school diploma and minimum of eight (8) years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant.

Experience in MS Office tools, data management and records keeping.

The successful applicant must be capable of working independently and in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.


Knowledge of Tinker AFB and its mission is a plus.
