Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Privacy & Compliance Architect to be Remote with potential travel up to 25%.

ManTech is supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology (OIT). Their mission is to provide high quality, effective, and efficient Information Technology (IT) services to those responsible for providing care to the Veterans at the point-of-care as well as throughout all the points of the Veterans’ health care in an effective, timely and compassionate manner.  VA depends on Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) systems to meet mission goals.

Clinical care to Veterans is achieved by managing the logistics and flow of supplies and equipment. Supply Chain Management (SCM) ensures that the right equipment and supplies are available when needed and the SCM product line encompasses the activities to procure resources, manage supplies, and deliver goods and services to providers and patients. The product line is currently comprised of a set of antiquated legacy systems with disjointed capabilities. ManTech is providing modernization efforts to integrate these systems by delivering enterprise IT architecture, planning and support.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Consult with customer and program management team on appropriate security and privacy control requirements.
  • Provide support; implement; manage; and assess security as well as privacy protocols; standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and controls addressing healthcare information.  
  • Assist with product line intake process by supporting security and compliance activities.
  • Will gather requirements from customer to create a secure and compliant vision and roadmap solution.
  • Will implement; improve and solidify frontline defense against malicious attacks to protect sensitive healthcare information.
  • Will ensure minimized risk associated with data breaches.
  • Provide risk management assessments and implement risk management processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical discipline.
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience with MS Degree or 20 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must have a Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP) certification.
  • Must be able to show a minimum of three (3) years certified as a HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner.
  • Experience uniting healthcare information security and privacy best practices and techniques
  • Understand Foundational Health Data Management concepts.
  • Understand enterprise risk management and implemented risk management processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA)
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS)
  • Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • Certified SAFe Agilist

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Veteran Affairs Public Trust

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to move about inside the office or IT environment to access computer systems, modules, equipment, and IT machinery.
  • Must be able to constantly operate computers and other IT environment systems such as IT machinery, modules, etc.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The person in this position must be able to detect, identify, observe, and assess written communications; presentations; and manuals.
