KBR is seeking a WAN Engineer to support our team in Ogden, Utah

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

•Will work with the Engineering team to provide specifications for network architecture and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities.

•Will provide support to users and other remote network technicians to test and isolate circuit issues including issues with the physical path, cryptographic issues, and routing protocol issues.

•Will utilize network monitoring tools to identify and track issues.

•Will create and document incident management tickets.

Basic Qualifications:

•Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.

•Must have DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent) at start date.

•Currently possess an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

•High school diploma.

•General understanding of network topologies and the various components that provide the OSI Layers 1, 2, and 3 portion of connections.

Preferred Qualifications:

•1-3 years of experience in a networking position.

•Knowledge of BGP, IS-IS, VPLS, Pseudowires, L3VPNs, MPLS, Static Routing, ACLs, Cryptographic Devices,

•Prior experience with any of the following: Cisco Routers, Cisco Aggregate Services Routers, Juniper Routers, Firewalls, Loadbalancers, Cisco Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) devices including MSPPs, Sycamore TDM devices including ODXCs, ADTRAN TDM devices, Ciena Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing Devices (DWDM), TACLANE Type 1 encryption devices, and Thales/Safenet Type 3 encryption devices.

•Remedy GTMS/ITSM experience is a plus. Network+, CCNA, JNCIA, or CCNP are also desirable.
