General Job Overview

The Embedded and Desktop Trainer Analyst will perform duties related to the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Patriot embedded and desktop operator Trainer software. Review prime contractor software requirements documentation and software and requirements change documentation. Tasks include participation in contractor Formal Qualification Tests (FQTs) and travel to support major program meetings. Analyst will independently review FQT data, use Patriot Conduct of Fire Trainer (PCOFT) laboratory to independently test Trainer software and produce independent test reports. Participate in Patriot Trainer User group meetings and address User action items and field reports.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree

Minimum of 2 years experience in PATRIOT missile system hardware maintenance or operation.

Knowledge of the Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis, Patriot, LRDR, SBX, TPY-2, etc.).

Some travel

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Desired Previous experience with IV&V, testing, simulation or development of Trainer software for the Patriot missile system, or other major Army or MDA weapons system.

Experience with scripting languages such as python.
