Description

SAIC has an opportunity for a Political – Military Analyst.  This position is located in Pearl City, Hawaii. 
 
The Software, Simulation, System Engineering and Integration (S3I) Directorate, DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center (AvMC) is supporting the USINDOPACOM and the K. Mark Takai Pacific Warfighting Center on Oahu, Hawaii.  This includes Modeling and Simulation (M&S) to support end to end life cycle development and execution, ensuring warfighter readiness and future capabilities are realized.
 
The Political - Military Analyst will work within our team, helping to provide the Pacific Warfighting Center (PWC) Joint Training organization with Political-Military Analysis support and Administrative Support. They must be equipped and able to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding environment. In this role, the candidate will be required to perform the following tasks:

 

  • Facilitate the observation and evaluation of political-military training objectives for USINDOPACOM and its subordinate battle staffs.
  • Conduct training assessments of the political-military functional area in USINDOPACOM. This requires working with appropriate political-military staff members, documenting training outcomes, and ensuring political-military inputs to exercise summary reports and databases.
  • Attend USINDOPACOM battle rhythm events as required, primarily in relation to political-military matters, and represent J325 equities in these events.
  • Assist in internal J325 information and knowledge management activities.
  • Assist in the management of the J325 spend plan.
  • Assist with the filing of reports and maintenance of lessons-learned and exercise summary report databases using the various systems of record used by the J325.
  • Assist in the scheduling of video-teleconferences and physical training venues in support of training events.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Minimum of a  AA/BAS degree in a relevant discipline with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelors  Degree is preferred
  • Must be detail oriented and well organized
  • Ability to develop and maintain detailed schedules and calendars in support of the organization’s mission.
  • Knowledge related to budgeting and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications to include word, excel, outlook, access, visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Must have a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
