Title:

GSFC Office of Communications Project Manager – Engineering

KBR is looking for an Office of Communications Project Manager – Engineering to support NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) and the Ground System and Mission Operations (GSMO-2) contract providing Technical Leadership and Customer Interface to the Office of Communications in support of GSFC public outreach activities including Live TV Studio Interviews & Broadcasts, Video & Multimedia Production, Launch Coverage, and Social Media production.

Candidate must have or be able to acquire an active security clearance

Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational and engineering support of television, radio, and social media interviews and press conferences and production services. Researches and develops engineering support requirements. Coordinates with Commercial Broadcast Stations and Satellite uplink providers for Broadcast events
  • Provide operational and engineering support of multimedia production. Communicates technical requirements and processes through project duration to team members and clients
  • Support NASA TV and GSFC Center Management productions
  • Design and support GSFC Television, Broadcast, and Sound Studio engineering requirements and technology updates
  • Travel to other NASA Centers and Science Locations for video recording and live broadcast including Wallops Flight Facility
  • Provide technical and engineering support of WFF Studio usage and technology updates.
  • Support Spacecraft Launch Coverage including engineering support of broadcast studio, documentation, broadcast press conferences, social media activities, media events, and launch commentary

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Engineering, Multimedia, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years applicable progressively complex communications and multimedia experience, including leadership of projects and teams
  • Domain knowledge in reference to the responsibilities
