KBR Technology Led Industrial Solutions (TLIS) is looking for Senior Consultant - Competency Assurance to work with our customers and other KBR Technology teams to craft cloud/on-premise digital training solutions and training programs for clients globally with immediate focus in Americas and in APAC regions. As a trusted training advisor to our customers, you will work with technology, solutions and services teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and robust training solutions and programs that help our customers to assure adequate competency development level of their operation teams and to benefit the most from TLIS digital training solutions.

As a successful Senior Consultant - Competency Assurance you will be challenged to think differently, and build creative and cost-effective digital training solutions including but not limited to operator training simulations. If you are highly technical and experienced in delivering OTS and related training programs then this could be the role for you.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead development efforts for new digital training solutions and training programs for all KBR licensed technologies, especially cloud-based OTS and on-line training programs
  • Act as the key instructor to deliver the online or on-premise training programs, in certain circumstances, join commissioning and startup team to support plant initial startups
  • Work closely with customer as well as KBR Technology Teams to collect customer requirements and devise fit-for-purpose training solution and programs for customer
  • May lead and direct the work of the team of specialists in a specific or key OTS or training project or be responsible for developing critical components of the systems yourself.
  • Guide OTS/Training Technical Leads for project delivery and resolution of technical issues
  • Manage technical services and relationship with key existing OTS and training customers
  • Assist in response to ITB, RFQ and client inquiries, and in general, support for estimates, proposals, sales pursuit, and developing marketing assets

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering required; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of Chemical Engineering related experience in Petrochemical, Chemicals, Polymer and Refining, ammonia experience is highly preferred
  • Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of proven, diversified OTS experience
  • Experiencein building and delivering a training program to clients is highly preferred, plant commissioning and startup experience is a plus
  • Experience in minimum one OTS/dynamics simulation software, with INDISS/INDISS+, UNISIM, HYSYS preferred
  • Experience in OTS-DCS integration with a minimum one major DCS platform
  • Familiarity and experience with the latest PC operating systems and data interfacing techniques such as OPC are required. Experience with C++ and similar modern programming languages will be a plus.
  • Ability to work cohesively with a diversified group of specialists located in Houston and Pune, India
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Willing to travel anywhere across the globe as required for delivery of on-premise training solutions or programs
