Project Scheduler

Please note this is a Part-Time, 20 hour per week position.

The Arc Jet Modernization project is a long term series of work packages that will bring a 60 year old facility to current state of the art levels. KBR is seeking an organized and self-sufficient Project Scheduler to develop schedules for multiple work packages, show dependencies between work packages, and integrate with the overall facility schedule to support the Arc Jet Modernization project.

Duties will include developing schedules, updating status of tasks, highlighting conflicts to the project manager and work package managers, providing weekly reports and monthly reports. The Project Scheduler will also need to provide specific charts and summaries for presentations by management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop schedules and schedule templates using MS Project.
  • Provide weekly status of tasks.
  • Provide 4-week rolling schedule forecasts.
  • Highlight conflicts to the project manager and work package managers.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports of completed tasks and delayed tasks.
  • Provide status charts for regular meetings.
  • Perform health checks on schedule using Acumen Fuse.
  • Use Milestone Pro to show critical paths.

Required Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience using MS Project.

Required Skills/Training:

  • Strong organizational, documentation, and tracking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team engagement skills.
  • Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office.
  • Self-starter with ability to track multiple tasks or actions.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate work tasks with others, and meet multiple deadlines.

Desired Education, Experience, Skills or Training:

  • Experience in submitting and tracking purchase and service requests.
  • Familiarity with NASA records management policies and procedures.
