More Than a Job
We're hiring for an Accounting Services Manager for our East Hanover office. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
-Develop client relationships, plan and supervise co-sourced expectations and deliverables, and be a key client contact
-Lead accounting based projects such as Chart of Account Revision, implementation of third party systems, assessment and application of new accounting standards, etc.
-Supervise and review moth end closing process
-Supervise and review financial statement preparation process
-Assist clients in accounting and financial reporting needs including ensuring appropriate resources are being devoted and complex arrangements are assessed.
-Direct or perform research and documentation of accounting and financial reporting issues as needed
-Coordinate and evaluate the day-to-day duties of accounting services staff with a focus on meeting client's accounting and financial reporting expectations
-Provide client management with value add financial analysis and ongoing process feedback
-Assist in evaluating and establishing financial reporting internal controls
-Assist in the development of enhanced department processes, tools and systems to enhance best in class approach
-Communicate with senior leadership and Partners on work status and client issues that arise
-Supervise, train and mentor accounting services staff
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
-5+ years' of relevant work and industry experience
-Able to work independently and also work well with others
-Strong organizational and communication skills
-Able to multi-task and handle situations with time constraints
-CPA License or on track to obtain
-Master's degree in Accounting
-2+ years' of supervisory experience in public accounting
-Prior experience with various industries including but not limited to, Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Technology, Real Estate and Not for Profit
-Software Experience - CCH ProSystem, Microsoft Office 365 and QuickBooks
