More Than a Job
We're hiring for an Audit Manager in our East Hanover office. Our East Hanover Audit Practice services various clients in the middle market private sector, including but not limited to Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing & Distribution, Not-For-Profit & SEC reporting. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
-Detail review of audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries including but not limited to middle market private, SEC and not for profit
-Review financial statements and disclosures for appropriateness in form, content, completeness, and accuracy
-Review required communications to the client, ensuring their completeness, accuracy and compliance with Firm and professional guidelines
-Advanced technical knowledge of accounting and reporting standards
-Identify audit and risk management issues and proposes potential solutions through research and collaboration with Quality Review and Engagement Partner
-Keep current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impacts on their client engagements
-Review audit procedures, workpapers and financial statements of staff with limited supervision from Partners
-Conduct research, consult with team members, draw conclusions and prepare memos based on target issues
-Oversee Seniors and Staff coordinating the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-up
-Detail review financial statements, workpapers and evaluate internal controls
-Primary client contact and liaison for complex issues that staff are unable to resolve; communicate effectively with clients and develop positive relationships with client personnel
-Communicate with Partner on work status and client issues that arise
-Perform a detail review of team's workflow and monitor tasks that are assigned and completed on a timely basis
-Supervise, train and mentor audit staff
-Keep up to date on industry laws and regulations
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
-5+ years experience in a similar role
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to work independently and also work well with others.
-CPA License or on track to obtain
-Master's degree in Accounting
-2+ years supervisory experience
-Software Experience - CCH ProSystem, Microsoft Office 365
