ISC IT Database Mangement Architect

The position will be a member of a team that supports multiple ISC functions. Primary support will be to the various functions of ISC Organization.

This position requires considerable coordination ability to meet deadlines and expectations, including the following key responsibilities:

  • Migrate data load packages developed in SQL Server integration services or Alteryx
  • Technical resource to partner with IT to complete migration of SQL Server production database server.
  • Improve the efficiency and speed of data load packages by process optimization or tool
  • Installing and upgrading the database server and application tool.
  • Allocating system storage and planning storage requirements for the database system
  • Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers.
  • Enrolling users and maintaining system security.
  • Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement.
  • Controlling and monitoring user access to the database.
  • Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database.
  • Planning for backup and recovery of database information.
  • Maintaining archived data.
  • Backing up and restoring databases.
  • Generating various reports by querying from database as per need.
  • Managing and monitoring data replication.
  • Acting as liaison with users.


Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.

  • Bachelor's Degree required (preferably Computer Science or IT) - Minimum of 3 years of experience in database migration or data load process management or equivalent data management experience
  • US Citizen due to client requirements

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL), using SQL Server integration services (SSIS) and Alteryx in large scale environments
  • Experience in managing large SQL database servers
  • Experience in SQL Server Analysis Services is a plus
  • Experience with cloud-based servers/databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving capability with creativity in providing solutions.
  • Change agent, constantly challenging conventional thinking, approach and methodology.
  • Requires a high degree of initiative and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
