General Job Overview:
The Senior Systems Engineer will support a dynamic group of Mechanical, Test, Configuration Management, Reliability, Safety, and Quality Engineers for a Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) upgrade. The Senior Systems Engineer will aid in the development and execution of major program technical reviews, including the Preliminary Design Review and Critical Design Review, and aid the Lead Engineer in ensuring all technical deliverables meet requirements. The Senior Systems Engineer will develop Integration Product Team (IPT) agenda items and assists the Lead Engineer as co-chair, where required, at IPT meetings, technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and working-group meetings. The Senior Systems Engineer will work with subcontractors to ensure the overall technical quality, performance, and schedule for engineering deliverables for all phases of the program from design analysis & definition, verification & validation, to post-delivery product support efforts. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for generating engineering documentation to support program deliverables and milestones (see required experience).
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related technical discipline
Must have 10-15 years of professional experience
Experience across the program development life cycle (requirements, design, implementation, test, and sustainment)
Experience developing program documentation including requirements specifications, interface control documentation, systems engineering management plans, configuration management plans, test plans, test reports, and other associated documentation
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
Associate's Degree plus 2 years of experience is equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree
Two years of Military technical training is equivalent to an Associate’s Degree
Bachelor's Degree plus two years of experience is equivalent to a Master's Degree.
MS in a technical or scientific field
