AECOM has an immediate requirement for a Project Manager to join our Water team in Belfast. The team are looking for a Wastewater Networks Project Manager to lead various projects from engagement through to completion, and be accountable for all aspects of project delivery. This unique role provides the opportunity to collaborate with asset planning teams and engage with leaders from multiple water and sewerage companies across UK and Ireland, contributing to existing knowledge-sharing and collaborative forums, which will to help develop your career.
Manage portfolio of multiple projects, with a focus on wastewater networks project delivery.
Deliver revenues assigned from the client as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects.
Consistently deliver profit margins planned.
Consistently complete projects without write-downs or multiplier erosion.
Manage complex projects with a keen focus on risk mitigation for clients and AECOM alike.
Have decision-making authority and direct other Project Team members in recognising risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
Direct staff to operate and minimise exposure to claims.
Supervise and direct Project Team members with multiple projects or programme of projects.
Engage with a growing Asset Management body of knowledge and contribute to industry progression of the discipline.
Gather and correlate engineering data using established and well-defined procedures, identifying any discrepancies in results.
Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving design calculations.Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary designelements for engineering works.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategic health, safety and environmental management and leadership to drive the highest standards.
Deliver Projects with the agreed time, cost & quality requirements.
Manage in-house quality assurance procedures and drive quality control aspects during project delivery.
Work closely with Asset Planning teams to build delivery programmes and monitor progress.
Apply risk management techniques for projects.
Prepare progress reports for the management team.
Manage project teams and work with the management team to ensure availability of suitably skilled resources at all times.
Experience in the full cycle of project delivery from inception to completion.
Sufficient experience to lead water and drainage infrastructure engineering projects.
Project Management qualification – especially experience with NEC Option contracts.
Ability to liaise and engage with clients and key stakeholders.
Provide mentoring, guidance and technical advice to support and supervise junior staff.
Engineering degree qualified.
Chartered Engineer status (or approaching chartered status).
