Job Summary

The Project Accountant will coordinate with the PA Supervisor/Team Lead, the PA Manager, and Global PA Tower Lead and Team to perform PA activities and assist in the development of the PA systems and processes. The PA staff will be in one of the two PA Tower groups: 1) Assigned PA staff who support the Project Manager and other members of the Project Team; and 2) PA Pool staff who perform high-volume transactional and compliance tasks.

The PA staff activities will include an assortment of activities from transactional entries to project analysis. There will be a certain amount of scheduled type work, but a significant amount of work requests will come in daily on an inconsistent basis. The PA staff will have to work as a team so that all requests are completed timely.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or other associated degree. Relevant work in lieu of degree considered

  • 5 to 7+ years’ overall accounting experience; 1 to 2 years’ project accounting/revenue controller/project analyst experience

  • E&C or similar industry with an understanding of projects, contracts, and/or service industry is preferred

  • Ability to communicate initiatives, results, and analysis

  • Ability to manage a number of jobs and prioritize deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Works under direct supervision, completing assigned tasks in support of less complex projects.

  • Provides various reports as required.

  • May support project billing through the review and preparation of invoices.

  • Prior experience in Oracle is highly advantageous, and strong in Excel is highly advantageous
