This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time:

* Duties of the shipping worker may include general physical activities in order to pick, sort, load and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment.

* Operate forklift equipment efficiently and safely.

* Examine finished goods and compare with records, such as pick tickets and racker sheets to verify accuracy of product and shipment.

* Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments, including refrigerated coolers.

* Attention to detail picking orders and customer set-up.

* Adhere to shipping policies/procedures, and regulatory compliance procedures.

* Maintain compliance with AMPI policy and/or standards set by customers as required.

* Complete daily forklift inspection logs as required.

* Maintain cleanliness within the shipping coolers and department.

* Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.

* Adhere to all GMP policies and procedures, report any nonconformity.

* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred

* Refrigerated warehouse experience preferred

* Prior experience in the dairy or cheese industry is preferred

* Physical Demands - Employee is frequently (more than 75% of time) required to; use hands to handle, touch objects, tools, or controls, sit; to verbally communicate; and to hear. The employee is frequently (up to 90% of the time) required to walk, stand and operate forklift. The employee must frequently (up to 50% of the time) lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and be able to lift and/or move 42 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

* Work Environment - Employee is occasionally exposed to refrigerated temperatures. Employee is regularly exposed to chemicals during sanitation processes. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

* Protective Equipment - Personal protective equipment is required depending on the job being performed, including protective eye wear, or face shield, hearing protection, hair and beard nets, uniforms, and boots. Additional equipment is required working with chemicals, such as rubber gloves and use of chemical proof aprons as appropriate for job being performed.
