Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in Orlando, Florida.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux/SE Linux configurations.
  • Install software libraries functioning in RHEL/SE Linux environment.
  • Configure and setup routers, switches IDS/IPS and other network appliances.
  • Monitor and modify system performance in an agile and highly flexible environment.
  • Apply best practices in software engineering, delivering projects on time and with excellent quality.
  • Provide support to staff and end users to resolve issues.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors and/or improve performance.
  • Develop and execute test plans for filesystem upgrades and address with vendor support any issues that arise during testing.
  • Management and implementation of storage solutions.
  • Management and implementation of VLANs.
  • Support debugging issues with the Linux kernel, including examining source code and using tools such a crash and systemtap.
  • Produce patches to fix issues, as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in STEM or equivalent and 5 to 7 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, you must have a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting with languages such as Python, Perl, Korn, Bourne/Bash.
  • Experience with revision control software such as Git.
  • Experience with network attach file systems (e.g. NFS).
  • Experience with Ethernet networking.
  • Familiarity with automating approaches to configuring and maintaining (e.g. patching) systems using products such as Ansible, Satellite Server, and/or SCAP.
  • Understanding and experience working with identity management systems including LDAP and token-based authentication systems.
  • Ability to analyze, debug and maintain the integrity of an existing code base.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with F5 Big IP.
  • SE Linux experience: configuration and policy.
  • Experience with applying patches and building custom kernels as required to implement functionality or address security concerns.
  • Experience with debugging issues with the Linux kernel including examining source code and using tools such a crash and systemtap.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work, and ability to multitask.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
