Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented IT Site Designer to join our team in the Warrenton, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

As an IT Site Designer you will be responsible for performing in depth analysis design and surveys for customers within your area of emphasis.  You will be expected to provide leadership as well as demonstrate hands-on skills and abilities on a regular basis.  The IT Site Designer will integrate within the Project Management cell of divergent skillsets in performing discrete tasks and projects within the National Capital Region, as well as throughout the United States and overseas.  The IT Site Designer also collaborate cross-functionally across the various branches within the PMO to ensure mission success.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), and public switched telephone networks.
  • Plan, design, analyze, and modify network communications systems to provide maximum performance and availability.
  • Develop and design local and wide area networks (LANs/WANs) in the areas of Internet connectivity, capacity planning, routing, switching, server load balancing and network security.
  • Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities. Requires in-depth knowledge and experience.
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Solve complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions; and exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own area and general knowledge of related areas.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market.
  • Acts as a resource for other team members; may lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain complex, difficult and/or sensitive information; work to build consensus.

An individual working under this labor category will be expected to be able to perform typical day-to-day tasks autonomously, requiring assistance in only the most complex tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of directly related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Must meet DoD IAT Level II qualifications upon hire. 
  • Possess a current Microsoft Windows 10 certification.
  • Experience in local and wide area networking, communications, VoIP, video telepresence, and related software/hardware within a multi-platform operating environment is required.
  • Current on most technological developments and applications, and helps to evaluate vendor products to make recommendations for purchase.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% primarily in the National Capital Region.  Other travel destinations may also be required. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in recommending solutions that improve customer satisfaction and/or the mission of the customer.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • An active and current TS/SCI clearance is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50%.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
