Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented Agile/DevSecOps Lead to join our team in the Washington D.C. area.  


Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Serve as an agent of change and as a leader that models and reinforces SAFe and Agile values and continuously builds team capabilities 

  • Conduct current assessment of DevSecOps practices and define a DevSecOps maturity model 

  • Define, measure and present Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and metrics for continuous improvement 

  • Coach Agile teams through software engineering practices 

  • Deliver proven training programs to explain and instill DevOps values including those as detailed by Agile and Lean 

  • Seek and address organizational and team-level challenges with management 

  • Drive automation in pursuit of predictability, supportability, security, and time to innovate 

  • Drive and assist with discovering, comparing, and building DevOps tooling for SDLC and infrastructure provisioning 

  • Help teams understand the value of test automation and deployment automation towards reaching continuous integration and continuous deployment goals 

  • Provide continuous guidance and feedback on SAFe agile practices, roles and responsibilities, tools, and techniques 

  • Answer practical questions to help team members put their agile training into action 


Basic Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of ten (10) or more years of Information Technology development  

  • A minimum three (3) years’ experience as a coach for a SAFe program applying SAFE principles, practices, and theory at a program level 

  • Five (5) years of solid experience with Scrum, Kanban and/or other agile frameworks

  • Knowledge and experience navigating enterprise IT environments 

  • Must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and mentoring 

  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing 

  • Proficiency in using the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence) 

  • Excellent leadership and listening skills 

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills 

  • SAFe Program Consultant or SAFe DevOps Practitioner certified 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MS degree and ten (10) or more years of Information Technology development  

  • Prior experience as a DevSecOps coach for a government contract or program 

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact, communicate and build relationships across the organization 

  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present confidently before a large audience  

  • ITIL4 certified 


Clearance Requirements: 

  • Top Secret w/SCI 


Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
