Job Summary

We are looking for a Revit Technician to join our established team to work co-operatively and representing the business:

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Working with design teams

  • Liaise with Project engineers on a day to day basis.

  • Coordination with team leaders and the BIM lead.

  • Support project engineers about internal coordination between services

  • Participate in project progress reviews and be confident to discuss design issues within a multi-discipline environment

  • Drafting, modelling and coordinating:

  • Produce and deliver design and contract drawings for a range of project types and sizes

  • Highlight any issues with design drawings which may impact on the delivery of projects

  • Collate drawing information packages for issue on both standard Auto CAD, Revit and Adobe PDF

  • Produce and update drawing registers in line with company drawing control procedures

  • Assisting with CAD set-ups, including liaising with clients and architects regarding BIM protocols and standards

  • Preparation and coordination of CAD drawings and BIM models (Training to be provided in BIM if required).

  • Preparation and coordination of Building Services drawings and details.

  • Modelling 3D MEP services on various projects using Revit MEP for producing Zones, plant, corridors, distribution layouts, also creating sheets and schedules

  • Assisting with preparation of technical supporting data for specifications, reports and clash detection reports etc

  • Assisting with administering document control and ensuring compliance with company policies

  • Developing to understand and apply BIM standard protocols from design teams BEP document

Minimum Requirements

Quality control and best practice development:

  • Helping the BIM lead ensure project delivery meets CAD/BIM standards, Digital Plan of Work and the requirements for the project BIM Execution plan

  • Apply policies relating to company standards & procedures, health & safety, quality, and training

  • Ensure compliance to the appropriate company CAD/BIM standards and protocol

Preferred Qualifications

HNC/HND in building services, or mechanical or electrical engineering would be an advantage but is not essential.
