The Principle IT Engineer will support integration of all applicable cybersecurity requirements into the systems engineering requirements process to ensure early identification of and integration of cybersecurity into the system, including verification methods. The best candidate shall ensure the configuration of system components in accordance with applicable DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and NSA Security Configuration Guides (SCG). The PIE will provide assessment evidence of compliance in accordance with DoD and MDA Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidance. The PIE will stay aware of current/changing cybersecurity requirements to ensure the final system meets current requirements and thus capable of receiving an A TO or an A TC. The PIE will be required to understand that the Assessment and authorization recommendations will be based on the resolution or mitigation of all identified findings to an acceptable level of risk per the Authorization Official (AO).

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years direct experience preferred

Bachelor's degree in related field (years of experience may be substituted for a degree)

DoDM 8570.0lM Change 4 and DODD 8140.01 Compliant Certification Required (e.g. Security+, CISSP, GSLC) and personnel are required to keep their certifications current per these and future requirements.

Experience UNIX, LINUX, and Windows systems is required

Experience with either RMF or DIACAP for Army and/or Missile Defense Systems is required.

Experience with Host Based Security System per USCYBERCOM OPORD 12-1016 for MDA accredited systems/networks.

Experience with JRDC, GMD, and/or RTC is a plus • Must be able to fulfill the job requirements listed above.
