The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our South East Queensland Water Group leadership team focusing on business growth and driving technical project delivery, enabling our team to successfully, and sustainably, deliver projects across the region.

Our Water Resources & Coastal Management team provides services to a range of internal and external clients on projects across the municipal, industrial, civil infrastructure, mining, defence and oil & gas sectors. The team includes engineers and scientists who specialise in a wide range of technical disciplines such as flood risk management, stormwater management, drainage design, hydrologic modelling, mine water management, dam assessments, water sensitive urban design and coastal engineering.

As a senior member of our team, reporting to the Team Lead, you will contribute to operational and strategic leadership across project delivery, team management, growth initiatives, client relationship management, business planning and development, and winning work. Your role will have a focus on technical excellence through the delivery of high quality work, championing innovation, representing AECOM in industry events and associations, and helping realise the potential of the team (both in Brisbane and the wider ANZ region) through effective delegation and mentoring. You will routinely liaise with our key clients as a recognised industry leader in flood management, hydrologic assessments (including dam hydrology and catchment yield studies) and the design of large infrastructure projects.

Minimum Requirements

Utilising your 15+ years’ experience across design and team management as well as design engineering, this role is suited to an engaging and well-respected practitioner who is looking to expand their strong client-focus and project delivery excellence, working in an international consultancy.

We are looking for a collaborative and dynamic individual who enjoys mentoring junior professionals, paving the way for the next generation of consultants. Your demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to maintain a strong client base across core civil engineering clients will be the keys to your success in this role.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualifications and consulting experience are a must. You will hold RPEQ registration.
