Responsible for initiating and developing engineering drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project’s discipline engineers.
Under direct supervision, completes design assignments of moderate complexity.
Applies an intermediate level of understanding within a specific discipline.
Familiar with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline.
Familiar with the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards, and procedures.
Understands the purpose of vendor documents and uses them as a reference for assigned tasks.
Basic knowledge of the use of requisitions and the role of materials management.
Basic knowledge of the process of performing material take-offs for the discipline.
Basic understanding of the discipline’s equipment and material lists.
Evaluate, select, and apply standard urban design techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications on projects
Provide project or task management to develop urban design and planning concepts and translate them into clear and compelling graphic images
Develop solutions that effectively address the social, legal, and economic implications of the physical form; modify and/or review drawings, construction documentation and detailing
Confer with clients regarding design schemes and implementation
Coordinate and consult with federal, state and local regulatory agencies on scope and impact of project when necessary
Manage, prepare, correct and update documents
Prepare for and participate in proposal interviews in addition to agency and client coordination and relations.
Develop innovative solutions to problems
Bachelor degree in Art & Architecture Studies or equivalent
At least 3 years relevant Urban design experience
Good presentation skill
Attention to details
Good communication and interpersonal skill to engage co-workers and stakeholders effectively
A team player and strong willingness to learn
