Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented IBM Mainframe CICS Programmer to join our team for Remote work that allows 100% Telecommuting and working from home anywhere in the United States! 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Systems programmer, primarily CICS and MQSeries, but also DB2, IMS, and some z/OS Systems Programming and DB2 DBA.
  • Expertise in installing, migrating, standardizing, upgrading, and supporting many diverse accounts in a large IT environment.
  • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills on highly complex problems.
  • Adept at acquiring technical knowledge and skills rapidly. Experienced at mentoring/coaching others to utilize best practices in CICS coding and methodology.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to be productive independently and/or as a team member.
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure with a minimal amount of supervision.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent. Requires Seven or more years of related experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Linux environments and Cobol.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen with an active Top Secret clearance is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
