Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Subject Matter Expert, Traditional Security to join our team in Fort Meade, Maryland and Remotely.    

This position is in support of our customer, DISA RME, a group responsible for creating actionable checklists used by organizations across the DoD. Due to the accelerated work pace, the ideal candidate already knows DISA well and is already intimate with the existing Traditional Security Checklist.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains the Traditional Security Checklist for DISA, on behalf of DoD, in a manner that interprets current DoD policies and procedures and extracts actionable requirements
  • Teaches SRR walkthrough training, based on the Traditional Security Checklist
  • Works with the STIG team PM, and the government, to discuss applicability scenarios and offer acceptable mitigation approaches to DoD organizations
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • Requires depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized area and general knowledge of related areas
  • Requires knowledge of communications security (COMSEC), protected distribution systems (PDS), facility environmental controls, TEMPEST requirements
  • Requires knowledge of personnel security, including foreign national system access, etc.
  • Within five business days of assignment, analyzes incoming trouble tickets submitted to the RME STIG customer support desk and provides an appropriate response to the requestor, updating the assigned ticket
  • Ensures that all trouble tickets are further processed in accordance with the established DISA RME STIG customer support process guide
  • Occasionally works from SIPR to address policy concerns or customer questions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires Master’s degree in a Computer or Engineering field or technical training, or equivalent experience
  • At lease 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with STIGS
  • Experience training in a classroom setting

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • DOD Secret

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Must be willing to comply with DoD COVID protocols as they are defined and refined.


 


 

The projected compensation range for this position is $88,000-$146,300. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
