Principal Logistics Engnineer

The KBR Prototype Integration & Design division is based out of Huntsville, AL. We provide knowledge-based Program Management for engineering services and solutions to U.S. DoD and the Federal/Civil markets utilizing both ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified Quality Management Systems.

Job Summary:

The KBR PID is searching for experienced Logistics Engineering applicants in Huntsville, AL to join our team. In this role, the successful applicant will report directly to the PID Program Manager and be responsible for applying their knowledge and experience with Army products and publications to ensure conformance MIL standards and bring added value to our critical Army customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The Logistics Engineer develops and implements logistics plans as well as develops commercial and raw data into MIL-STD compliant technical publications. The Logistics Engineer will be expected to ensure conformity of page base and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) with MIL-STD 40051 and MIL-HDBK 1222. Create compliant hardware, software, and airframe Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), Technical Manuals (TMs) and Modification Work Orders (MWOs) from commercial data and other DoD sources to include technical drawings and logistics data bases.

Qualifications and Skills


  • 8+ years of direct experience with Army manuals and applying MIL-STD-40051 and MIL-HDBK-1222 requirements
  • 5+ years of experience developing Technical Manuals using eXtensible Markup Language (XML) in UltraEdit or Arbortext editing software for Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) or page based Technical Manuals
  • 5+ years of experience conducting and participating in Contractor Validations and Government Verifications
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Programs
  • Located in Huntsville, AL
  • Some travel may be requiredAs a Plus (+) but not required:Experience in the areas of:
  • Experience supporting other Logistics events such as Log Demo, Material Fielding Plans, and Life Cycle Sustainment Plans
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100 D experience
  • Experience writing and developing Modification Work Orders Development
  • Experience writing and developing 13&Ps, -23&Ps, SUMs, SAMs, and -10s
  • Experience in the Army Engineering Services Industry
  • Experience in US Army Aviation Maintenance processes and procedures
