Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Director, Employee | Corporate Communications to join our team in the Herndon, Virginia Headquarters office.
ManTech is seeking an experienced, senior communications professional to create and implement communications strategies that educate and engage its 9,400+ employees around the globe in corporate offices and on customer sites.
As our company continues to grow, we seek a senior professional who can identify and support new ways to reach employees while establishing productive relationships with key stakeholders and ManTech leaders.
Applicants should be excited about developing and implementing plans to engage target audiences and spread the message about topics ranging from HR initiatives to IT deployments, company news. The ideal candidate should have a track record of success in the communications sector and excellent written and verbal communication skills while also a passion for leveraging digital technology to expand the reach of company messaging to the workforce.
Serves as a senior leader on the Enterprise Marketing & Communications team.
Uses strategies and technology (e.g., intranet, video, email, digital, Webex, town halls, meetings) to reach employees in all areas of the business.
In collaboration with corporate leaders (Sales, HR, Technology, Security) develops messaging that employees at all levels and locations understand and act upon.
Applies various communication strategies to create an impression, raise awareness, and encourage action by the target audience for the organization and its products, services and brands
Develops and coordinates multimedia packages (e.g., letters, brochures, video, point-of-purchase displays)
Develops, supports and promotes company goals, including message development, employee communications, social media content creation, company magazine content and development, and company award nomination plans to reach global workforce.
Develops and disseminates information and materials that help employees succeed at the company and with customers.
Builds and maintains relationships with leadership and employee audiences that will help advance our work.
Manages, identifies and creates strategies to effectively engage employees through multiple communications channels.
Ensures digital marketing content aligns with our brand's identity and message and assist with employees’ serving our customer.
Works closely with leaders and executives to draft executive messages and to develop and strengthen employee engagement activities.
Provides leadership to a direct report and outside vendors.
Decision-making is guided by department/district objectives.
Requires a comprehensive understanding of internal and industry standards and principles.
Applies in-depth understanding of the business dynamics of own department/district integrates within the division.
Manages multiple projects, sets organizational priorities, and allocates resources; executes department employee communications plans.
Identifies and resolves complex multi-dimensional business problems.
Impacts the business results of a department/district by setting priorities, allocating resources, and developing policies and plans.
Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of professional experience
5+ years of Corporate Communications experience for a large GovCon company
5+ years of managing Corporate Social Media and Intranet communications
Strong foundation in using technology to creatively communicate to employees
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong foundation in navigating complex enterprise corporate teams to drive and accomplish strategic goals and visions
No Clearance required to start
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
