AECOM is seeking a Business Associate based in New Haven, CT. In this position, you will be a member of the Outreach team on our CTrides project, which manages the statewide transportation demand management (TDM) program for the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
This program aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality by encouraging Connecticut residents to use green, active transportation modes such as carpooling, public transportation, and bicycling. As a CTrides Business Associate, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with CTrides partners within an assigned territory. You will assist these partners with the implementation of commuter options programs that help reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality. You will work in a fast paced team environment following a sales model with monthly performance metrics.
Responsibilities / Objectives:
Performs a range of transportation demand management, marketing, outreach, and sales activities to influence individual travelers, commuters, and/or students to utilize non-drive-alone means of transportation, including carpooling, vanpooling, and public transit, bicycling, walking, telecommuting, and other options.
Develops, promotes, and implements a range of worksite and/or schools-based operational programs aimed at improving business operations and/or reducing on-site pollutants, to improve overall air quality and mitigate traffic congestion.
Benchmark and analyze growth in TDM services and employer programs on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Analyzes data from ridematching/tracking programs, geographic information systems, or associated databases.
Provides Travel Demand Management guidance to employers and educational institutions.
Assists with reporting on program progress for monthly/quarterly reports, including developing written summaries of activities underway in the business/academic community.
Participates in Statewide project events which help to further the program’s goals.
Proactively offers telework solutions to employer-based partners and stakeholders.
Provides initial telework consultations and needs analyses for employer organizations, business associations, civic associations, local government agencies, and others in the State.
Works to establish, oversee, and coordinate telework programs, including giving management training presentations for employer partners and stakeholders within an assigned region.
Accurately documents all sales and outreach activity within an assigned region using Salesforce, according to project protocols.
Monitors and analyzes the effectiveness of the commute alternative programs in place in an assigned region, using established metrics.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of various TDM strategies, including carpools, vanpools, transit, and Emergency Ride Home programs, to influence transportation mode choice?away from drive-alone travel.
Develops new and existing clients through cold calls, networking, and other means to engage prospective partners and reengage existing partners.
Some heavy lifting (<30 lbs) may be required.
Field office work will require reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record.
There will be a balance of required in-office and field work, including traveling to various employer locations to conduct outreach activities.

Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, Education, Public-health, or related field; or Demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
A valid drivers' license
Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills and experience in handling multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner
Conduct market research, develop prospecting strategies, build relationships, and identify new partnership opportunities
Demonstrated experience and knowledge for effective written, verbal, and graphic presentation of data, reports, and other information. Ability to synthesize information, summarize key insights, and communicate solutions in clear verbal and written form is essential
Proficient marketing and sales skills
Customer Relationship Management experience a plus
