We have a unique opportunity for a driven Senior Landscape Architect to join our National Design Practice and take the next step in their career.
As a key team member of our Design and Planning studio in Canberra, you will have the opportunity to work alongside other landscape architects, designers and engineers on a diverse mix of projects. This role is focused around collaborating across multiple disciplines on urban infrastructure projects and delivering high quality integrated design solutions.
The design team is an integral part of our Civil Infrastructure service offering, delivering technical inputs across many of Canberra’s larger urban infrastructure projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects including Canberra Light Rail and Dickson Precinct Upgrade.
As a small design studio within a larger company, we have the benefit of a friendly bespoke team environment, but with the advantages of being exposed to the many large and exciting multi-disciplinary projects that AECOM is involved in. You will have the ability to work internally with engineering and other consulting professionals across all design disciplines, with many exciting opportunities available to those who choose to take them.

Some of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Working closely with clients to maintain a positive rapport, you will gain a clear understanding of their requirements, and play a key role in delivering project performance outcomes.
You will use your proven technical skills to lead the Landscape Architecture component of projects whilst working with a highly skilled and diverse team.
Resolve and document technical details that meet with client expectations.
Mentoring junior members of the team.
This is a varied role which would suit someone with a strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a results driven team environment. We are looking for highly driven professionals with a strong client-centric approach, who are keen to further develop their skills.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills, attributes and experience:
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to communicate complex concepts in a way that everyone understands
Proven ability to successfully work in project teams and work closely with other design disciplines
Experience working in a consultancy
Experience with design software such as Sketch Up, AutoCAD, Adobe Applications are desirable
Urban Infrastructure project experience would be considered an advantage.
