KBR has an exciting opportunity for an IA/IT Engineer to join our team in Lexington Park, MD. In this role you will learn new and exciting skills to grow your IA/IT knowledge.
Function : Performs vulnerability assessment and scanning, review of assessment results, patching, and remediation activities related to customer lab and test systems; performs hardware and software troubleshooting with customer computer systems; performs hardware and software requirement analysis for upgrades to or the design of new test and simulation systems; performs cyber security processes; performs hardware and software upgrades of customer computer systems; liaison between local personnel and next-level IT support including troubleshooting application and equipment issues; diagnoses and resolves basic technical issues, troubleshooting MS Office Suite, CAD, Adobe, and other COTS products.
Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons and communications systems. Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons and communications systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
Education: BS or BA degree in Engineering, Science or a "Relevant Technical Discipline" from an accredited institution.
Successful candidate will obtain Secret security clearance and CompTIA Security+ certification.
